2026-27 STILL TIME TO ENROLL
"Lord, help me to understand your teaching, then I will obey it always."
Psalm 119:33
We are Micah and Katie Kilgore and we have been married for almost 25 years - wow, that's a long time! God has blessed us with three beautiful children; Cazwell, Cooper, and Maggie Anna. They are our "why" for launching a microschool in 2024.
Both Micah and I (Katie) have education backgrounds, from teaching in small group church ministry to the classroom. My main career years have been spent in business, marketing, and private school administration. I have been "studying" mircoschooling since 2023 in various forms, while also being the Learning Facilitator (teacher) for Three Cords Microschool since 2024.
My heart for Jesus flows from my eyes as my "kids" often ask, "Mrs. Katie, are you going to cry today?" I am strongly passionate about students "learning how to learn" and being encouraged in their own unique learning style. Micah and I loudly proclaim, "We don't have all the answers in educating children, but we are willing to work with families to find whatever their child needs." Micah serves as our School Administrator and Bible teacher (among many other roles) while also working in our family lawncare business, owned by our oldest son, Caz. Our family loves the beach and the mountains and a good game of Uno, along with a yummy family meal - often prepared by Micah.
Our family goal is to serve Jesus one day at a time wherever He leads!

To partner with families in raising disciples of Christ who love truth, pursue wisdom, and exemplify virtue through a Christian education to equip students to faithfully fulfill God's calling in their life.
Gospel-Centered: We believe all truth is God's truth. Every subject is taught through the lens of Scripture, encouraging students to know Christ, love Him wholeheartedly, and live for His glory.
Family Partnership: Parents are the primary educators of their children. We intentionally partner with families by providing support, encouragement, and collaboration that strengthens learning both at school and at home.
Individual Growth: Each child is uniquely created in the image of God with distinct gifts, abilities, and callings. We provide individualized support that helps every student grow academically, spiritually, and personally encouraging curiosity and wonder.
Our learning methods include a variety of opportunities for our students, some of which include: Literature rich options, project-based, mixed-age, multidisciplinary unit studies (Science or Social Studies focus, but includes multiple subjects), self-paced core skills, math labs (so much fun), enrichments, "expert" visitors from our unit study focus, field trips, service opportunities, and more. We encourage wonder and curiosity and support students to ask as many questions as possible in order to stir the love of learning!
We support families in their homeschooling journey. We do not mandate a certain curriculum or learning model. However, we are very clear with each family about the support we can and cannot provide for their child. Each family creates a learning plan with our team in order to maintan transparency, set goals, and experience growth. We will provide many learning opportunities throughout the year, however, the ultimate learning responsibility lies with each parent. Open and clear communication between the parents, student, and school are essential.
